She’s Crafty

I was hanging out in Twitter a day or so ago and one of my friends linked to these. Normally I’m not very crafty. Unless I am inspired. Again, I start with the hobbies… This time I already had some of the stuff around the house, so it wasn’t a huge investment.

The Boy uses the flat bottomed marbles for his games so I swiped some, shhh. Honestly, he probably won’t notice. I stopped at Michaels and picked up the magnets and glue. And a couple years ago another friend and I got a subscription to Real Simple. Great magazine, but I never had time to read it so I stopped getting it. But I saved them in some fancy magazine holders from Ikea. That was $12 well spent…

The other key item I picked up at Michaels was a hole punch that matched the size of the magnets I got (3/4″). I’m pretty sure this little device is the reason I cut out so many. I only had 50 magnets and I got another small bag of marbles incase I ran out. All in all I think I spent around $20. I looked on Etsy and people are selling them in sets of 6 for $7-8, plus shipping.

Here is a sampling of what I did in one evening. They’re pretty random; some Christmas, flowers, birds, clocks, and a lot of random patterns. If you like them, leave me a comment and I’ll either give you a set of six (you can pick) or if you tell me a theme I’ll make you a set of six. I can’t do it for everyone, so the first 5 people that tell me they’d like ‘em. I’ll send ‘em out.
